THE WARM WELCOME
This guest bedroom and bathroom design is a cozy retreat filled with soft greens, warm rust, and earthy terra cotta tones. Designed for both rest and productivity, the space includes a comfortable trundle bed, a work desk, and thoughtful details that bring comfort and character to this once-blank-slate new build. The matching bathroom carries the same warm palette, offering a colorful and calming environment for guests and the homeowner alike. See before and after photos below.
FROM BLANK SLATE TO WELCOMING RETREAT
When my client moved into their new build just outside of Nashville, they had a blank canvas in their guest bedroom and bathroom. The goal? Make it feel warm, functional, and full of personality while keeping in professional since she would be working from this space daily. With soft greens, earthy rust, and olive tones, we infused cozy charm into every corner of this space while keeping it practical and neutral enough for everyday use.
SMART DESIGN FOR A SMALL SPACE
This room wasn’t large, so every choice had to count. We brought in a trundle bed to allow for extra sleeping space without overwhelming the room. A small desk was added for the homeowner’s work-from-home days, and layered lighting with lamps ensured the space could shift easily from productive to peaceful.
BRINGING COLOR INTO THE BATHROOM
The adjoining bathroom mirrors the warmth of the bedroom with soft, saturated tones that make the space feel both elevated and soothing. It’s colorful, but in a grounded, calming way.
Before, this room and bathroom were stark white and completely empty. Now, it's a multifunctional space that combines comfort, color, and character. These photos show just how much can change with intentional design.
