THE LIBRARY LOFT

FROM STORAGE LOFT TO DREAM STUDY - A FUNCTIONAL AND COZY HOME OFFICE TRANSFORMATION

This project was one of my first and one of the most satisfying. What started as an unused upstairs storage loft filled with containers, exercise equipment and baby gear became a cozy and beautiful reading space and home office that my client uses every single day.

The room was originally carpeted and filled to the brim, but we completely reimagined the space. We began by removing the dated carpet and installing new hardwoods from L&L Flooring to match the rest of the house. Custom floor-to-ceiling built-ins were crafted by Clovercroft Wood Works to house my client’s extensive book collection and create a cozy, intentional feel.

To complement the rest of the home, we chose deep blue walls, a warm wood desk, and a cream reading chair to bring the space to life. The window’s natural light makes it perfect for reading and working. We also ensured there was still room to keep the client's workout equipment tucked away and out of view.

This transformation is a perfect example of why I love what I do: creating beautiful, practical spaces that truly reflect how families live.
