LITTLE BOY BLUE

Designed with timeless charm and thoughtful detail, this vintage-inspired nursery brings together soft powder blues, heirloom accents, and a touch of eclectic flair. From the classic turned-leg furniture to the gingham textiles and antique artwork, every element was chosen to reflect a traditional baby boy nursery — warm, cozy, and full of character.

A VINTAGE-INSPIRED NURSERY

When I look back at my very first design project, this nursery still holds a special place in my heart — because it was made for my own son.

He had just turned one, and I wanted to create a space that felt calm, cozy, and full of character. A room that could grow with him over time. I leaned into my love for traditional design and vintage finds, pulling together a space that blends softness with all things little boy — and proves you don’t have to spend a fortune to create something beautiful and meaningful.

A PERSONAL TWIST

The vision for this nursery was all about timeless style — think soft powder blues, warm woods, and little collected details that tell a story. I wanted it to feel like a room that had existed for decades, but was thoughtfully updated to work for our family today.

One of the most special pieces in the room is the rocking horse, which was actually mine as a child. It adds such a sweet, nostalgic touch, and seeing my son enjoy it now feels full circle in the best way.

The dresser is another favorite. I found it on Facebook Marketplace — a true heirloom-style piece with gorgeous bones — and gave it a little love to bring it back to life. It anchors the room with warmth and history, and it’s the kind of piece I hope stays in our family for years to come.

DESIGNING ON A BUDGET

Believe it or not, this entire room came together on a tight budget. The crib was a $20 Marketplace find — I gave it a fresh coat of matte black spray paint, and suddenly it felt sophisticated and completely custom.

The little Dalmatian stool? Just $10 at Dirt Cheap. Proof that when you have a clear vision and an eye for potential, you can create a curated, high-end look without the high-end price tag.

Every item in this room was chosen with intention — not only to look beautiful, but to work for our real, everyday life.

A SPACE TO GROW INTO

More than anything, I wanted this nursery to grow with him. No overly babyish themes or short-lived trends — just classic style, functional pieces, and meaningful details. The result is a space that still feels fresh and fitting as he grows, and one that’s full of love in every corner.

This project reminded me why I do what I do — creating spaces that feel lived in, loved, and entirely your own.

You don’t need to chase perfection. You need a space that works for you, reflects who you are, and brings comfort and joy every time you walk in.

Looking to create a space that feels like home? Whether you're designing a nursery, reworking a family room, or organizing your whole home, I'd love to help bring your vision to life — beautifully and practically.
