We also create a Pinterest board specifically for your project and space to help establish the overall visual direction. Think of this stage as creating the story of the room before choosing all of the individual pieces.
3. CREATING YOUR MOOD BOARD
Your mood board helps establish the overall direction for your space. We’ll pull inspiration images from Pinterest that reflect the colors, textures, finishes, furniture styles, and overall feel you’re drawn to.
Rather than trying to define your style from scratch, the mood board gives us a visual starting point. By seeing these images together, we can identify common themes and create a clear direction for your space before we begin selecting products and making design decisions.
It’s especially helpful if you’ve ever thought, “I love everything individually, but I’m not sure how to make it all work together.” The mood board helps connect those individual inspirations into a cohesive style direction.
4. PLANNING THE LAYOUT
A beautiful room still needs to function beautifully. Before we start filling your space with furniture, we think about how the room will actually be used.
We'll consider traffic flow, furniture scale, conversation areas, focal points, rug placement, and the space needed to comfortably move throughout the room.
We'll explore layout options and determine the arrangement that best balances function, comfort, and aesthetics. Because the best-designed room isn't just pretty. It works.
5. SOURCING FURNITURE & DECOR
This is where the fun really begins. Once the design direction and layout are established, we begin sourcing pieces that fit the space and the vision.
We'll consider everything from sofas and rugs to lighting, artwork, accent furniture, and decorative accessories. We source from a combination of designer trade vendors and accessible retail brands, allowing us to find pieces at a variety of price points.
Some of the brands we may source from include Serena & Lily, Lulu & Georgia, Rejuvenation, Ruggable, Pottery Barn, West Elm, CB2, Anthropologie, Wayfair, and other trusted vendors. The goal isn't simply to find something that looks good. We're looking for pieces that are beautiful, functional, appropriately scaled, available, and aligned with your budget.
