WALLPAPER THAT TRANSFORMS

THOUGHTFUL DESIGN FOR A HOME YOU LOVE

Wallpaper has a way of completely transforming a space by adding depth, personality, and a sense of intention that paint alone often can’t achieve. Lately, I’ve been incorporating more wallpaper into my projects throughout Nashville, Brentwood, Belle Meade, and Franklin, and it’s quickly become one of my favorite ways to help clients fall in love with their homes again.

Whether it’s a subtle texture or a bold, statement-making pattern, wallpaper allows us to create spaces that feel layered, elevated, and deeply personal.

STARTING WITH THE WHY

From an interior designer’s perspective, choosing wallpaper isn’t just about picking something “pretty.” It’s about understanding how a space is used and how you want it to feel.

In a bedroom, that might mean soft, calming patterns that create a sense of retreat.

In a laundry room or pantry, it’s an opportunity to bring in personality and make everyday spaces
feel special.

In an entryway or powder bathroom, wallpaper can create a memorable first impression.

Every decision is rooted in intention so the end result feels cohesive, not overwhelming.

FINDING THE RIGHT BALANCE

For clients looking for something truly unique, custom wallpaper can be an incredible option. From large-scale murals to one-of-a-kind patterns, it allows us to design something that is completely personal to your space.

These moments often become the most memorable parts of a home where the details make it feel layered and thoughtful.

When we design with wallpaper, we’re always considering the full picture; furniture, lighting, textures, and how everything works together. Sometimes that means using wallpaper as a focal point on a single wall. Other times, we lean into it and wrap the entire room for a more immersive, collected feel.

The goal is never to follow trends, but to create something that feels timeless and reflective of you.

WALLPAPER AS A STORYTELLING ELEMENT

The most beautiful spaces are the ones that tell a story

Wallpaper can play a huge role in that whether it’s a pattern that reminds you of a favorite place, a color palette that ties into meaningful pieces you already own, or a design that simply makes you feel at home.

In many of my Nashville interior design projects, we’ve used wallpaper to bridge the gap between function and feeling by bringing warmth to new builds, adding character to neutral spaces, and creating moments that feel curated rather than decorated.

FAVORITE WALLPAPER SOURCES

I often source wallpaper from a mix of trusted brands that offer everything from classic to bold, modern designs. Some of my go-to favorites include:

Each project is different, and sourcing is always tailored to the client, the home, and the overall vision.

DESIGNING A HOME THAT FEELS LIKE YOU

At the end of the day, wallpaper is just one tool, but when used thoughtfully, it can completely shift how a home feels.

As a Nashville-based interior designer serving Nashville, Brentwood, Belle Meade, and Franklin, my goal is always the same: to create spaces that are not only beautiful, but functional and meaningful for the people who live in them.

Whether you’re refreshing a single room or reimagining your entire home, thoughtful design has the power to make everyday life feel a little more elevated, and a lot more like you.
