This primary bedroom was designed to feel cozy, comfortable, and effortlessly balanced. With deep navy walls, light furnishings, and organic textures, the space strikes the perfect mix of relaxed and refined - not too feminine, not too masculine. By keeping a few of their existing pieces, like the dresser, side tables, and bed frame, the room feels both refreshed and familiar.

I could not be happier with how this project turned out! I absolutely loved working with this sweet family and helping them bring new life to their home.

The journey began when they asked me to come in and help organize their entire home before the holidays. Once that project was complete, they realized there were a few rooms they wanted to refresh and redesign, and their primary bedroom was first on the list.

For this cozy retreat, the goal was clear: create a space that felt comfortable, balanced, and effortlessly inviting. The couple wanted the room to feel organic and relaxed—neither too feminine nor too masculine—so we explored options for wall color, furniture, and textures. Ultimately, we landed on a deep, moody navy to give the room depth and character.

A few of their existing pieces - the dresser, side tables, ceiling fan, and bed frame - were incorporated seamlessly into the new design, helping to save costs while keeping the space familiar and personal. By color drenching the room in Naval by Sherwin Williams, the rich walls now beautifully contrast with the lighter bedding, furniture, and drapery, creating a sense of warmth and sophistication.

The finished bedroom is a perfect balance of cozy and refined, offering a serene retreat that feels fresh yet familiar. One of the most rewarding moments was hearing that I helped the couple make their bedroom dreams come true. It’s always an incredible feeling to see a vision come to life in a way that truly reflects the homeowners’ style and personality.

This project is a great reminder that thoughtful design doesn’t always require starting from scratch. By combining existing pieces with carefully chosen colors, textures, and furnishings, you can transform a space into something both beautiful and deeply personal.
